I do not have vsync or any adaptive options turned on. I average right around 60 fps with all ultra settings and 4K in the benchmark, but with the ultra shadows I have seen the frame rates drop into the low 40s on occasions in those same places and time setting (I have noticed that just before sunset often hits performance a little harder) I'll get 55-65 fps with very high shadows and everything else to set to max, but ultra shadows will bring the fps down 15-20 fps in certain scenarios. The ultra shadows also seem to hit performance very hard sometimes. If I turn on ultra shadows at any time during gameplay the issue will present itself again and turning off ultra shadows doesn't fix it unless I reboot the game as well. Its so bad that I had to set shadows back to 'very high'. When playing the game with ultra shadows turned on, after a couple minutes of gameplay the shadows start popping in and out when panning the camera and some shadows start flickering. Two bugs I'm experiencing with this game on PC.
